Better With Age.

Older images, especially those that have faded or been made from a print, often have poor tonal ranges. Printing them as quadtones can expand the range of tones and add an antique quality to the image.

How we did it...

After the black and white image was scanned into all four channels of a CMYK file. The black was run behind the other colors. While still strong, the contrast is not nearly as great as it is on the image of warm looks. Highlight=C6 M10 Y18 K4; Midtone=C31 M37 Y48 K25; Shadow=C80 M85 Y95 K93.
