Different impressions.

Different depths of embossing create different effects. A heavy stock, like our 80# cover, allows the die to push deeper, but there is a limit—pushing too deep will crack the paper’s surface.

Embossing starts with a metal relief die, a matching counter die and an embossing press. Paper is placed between the die and the counter, heat and pressure are applied, and the type or design is pressed into the stock.
